Do you think young people today value their education as much as Sara Smolinsky does? Why or why not? 

I think the majority of students to not value their education as much as Sara. In this day and age, most children are given the opportunity to pursue an education and are encouraged to further their education. Because going to school is not a choice but an obligation, student do not take their schooling seriously. 

In the 1920's, receiving and education was not even considered for most women. Priorities for women during that time period were much different, they were compelled to get married and raise a children and there was no time for an education. However, in todays society, finishing high school and going to college is mandatory for both girls and boys. Overall, the value of education has diminished due to the lack of motivation.
